Elliott Hundley was born in 1975 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Elliott draws inspiration for his paintings from diverse sources. He also gets most of his inspiration from his southern heritage. Elliott Hundley lives and works in Los Angeles, California. The materials he usually uses are cut-up magazines, string, plastic, gold leaf, and other ephemera. He also stages improvisational photo shoots "to generate imagery for his multi-panel tableaus." The artwork on the right is made up of "Wood, sound board, inkjet print on Kitakata, paper, pins, photographs, string, plastic, paint, floral foam, fabric, glass, cork, wire, pins, glue, rubber, lobster." But to me it kind of looks like a fox like creature. As for the one on the left, which is made up of Oil on linen. The artwork somewhat resembles, Jesus. It looks like he's masking all the pain inside and showing strength on the outside. I, myself noticed how he made the two artworks above pop out. When you look at it, you can see more than just one face as well. Creating an illusion within the two. I feel like the two art pieces are trying to say to release your inner self. Don't hold back. If that is what the meaning is behind it, then i can relate because when I make my Ceramics. I want them to be free. To where if you look at it, you can tell. I've never seen this artist before and I am just amazed with his two artworks. Seeing stuff like his, is very inspirational. I didn't want to get too into detail with what the meanings behind the two are because I don't know. I've interpreted as much as I could without going off topic.
